Ivan Perisic’s son made headlines after he rushed towards Neymar to console him following their exit from the World Cup, MySportDab reports.

Emotions rent the air after Brazil crashed out of the 2022 World Cup. The shocked Selecao players were tearful, with some sitting down on the pitch after the game.

PSG forward and former Barcelona star Neymar jr was inconsolable, as he burst into full tears after the loss.

Brazil did all they could in the game, with the Croatian goalkeeper deserving the man of the match award after he denied the Selecao several goal opportunities.

At last, Neymar finally made it count after a brilliant and skillful legwork in the Croatian box.

However, the goal in arrived extra time after the two teams settled for a goalless 90 minutes of regulation time.

Neymar gave Brazil the lead with just a few minutes left in the extra time.

The Selecao thought they had arrived before a last chance by the Croats saw the Europeans pull a major upset, with Petkovic securing an equaliser.

The game was tied on a 1-1 draw after extra time, and both teams headed to the penalty spots to decide the winner.

It was a nightmare for Brazil as their hope of landing their 6th World Cup trophy ended in shambles.

The Selecao lost 4-2 to the Croats, and it was a rain of tears, with Neymar doing it uncontrollably.

Meanwhile, Croatian players have invited their kids and families into the pitch to celebrate the victory.

After joining other kids to celebrate the win with his father, Perisic’s son left his peers and sprinted fast to where Neymar was standing with tears.

Officials attempted to stop him from accessing Neymar but finally allowed him to have a hug and console the star.

It was a beautiful moment. Croatia will face Argentina in the semi-finals after the South Americans see off the Netherlands via penalty shootouts also.
