Lionel Messi and Kun Aguero spearheaded Argentina’s dressing room celebrations after a historic 2022 FIFA World Cup Win, MySportDab reports.

Argentina broke a 36 years World Cup jinx to win their third World Cup trophy in a heated and spirited clash with France at the Lusail Stadium.

While France were making their fourth World Cup finals appearance, Argentina was playing in their sixth final.

A quick brace by Kylian Mbappe in the 80th and 82nd minute tied the game to a 2-2 draw, with less than 10 minutes of regulation time left to play.

The match went into extra time, and Lionel Messi again rose to the occasion, scoring in the 108th minute to restore the lead.

His PSG teammate, Kylian Mbappe, scored again from the penalty spot to bag his hat-trick and drag the game to a penalty shoot.

Argentina won 4-2 after penalties, breaking the 36 years, and Lionel Messi won his first World Cup trophy after 5th successive World Cup appearance.

The team took to a wild celebration after the victory, with Lionel Messi hoisted into the air by his former teammate Sergio Kun Aguero who had joined the team’s celebrations.
