Arsenal has officially unveiled new signing Jorginho who joins them from Chelsea today, MySportDab reports.
The midfielder completes a move to Arsenal after a short talk with Chelsea who were willing to allow the player to make the move to their neighbor.
Jorginho signs his contract as an Arsenal player until 2024 which also includes an option to make it an extra year to his stay at the Emirates.
The player was earlier linked with a return to Italy as his contract with Chelsea was coming to an end and still no agreement on the table.
The Blues were forced to make the move happen or risk losing the player for free during the summer window as they are working towards bringing in new faces.
Enzo Fernandez could be the man who replaces Jorginho who is now with Arsenal as talks are still ongoing on deadline day.
The Gunners have made the move official today as the midfielder will be looking to make his debut immediately with the rest of the team.
What Arteta Had To Say:
“Jorginho is a midfield player with intelligence, deep leadership skills and a huge amount of Premier League and international experience.
“Jorginho has won in his career, but he still has the hunger and huge willingness to contribute here.
“We are so pleased to sign Jorginho and welcome him and his family to the club.”
Jorginho is the final puzzle for Mikel Arteta who is hoping he can lead his side to a Premier League title when the season comes to an end.
Arsenal only made three moves happen this January as they have earlier made a lot of new signings during the 2022 summer window.
