Chelsea are planning to hijack Arsenal’s attempt to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, MySportDab reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are currently in Poland for talks to sign the highly-rated Shakhtar Donetsk star.

As at the time of filing this report, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea’s board are currently in Poland trying to reach a verbal agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign the player.

If the Blues reach an agreement for Mykhalo Mudryk, they will now hijack the player from Arsenal.

Arsenal have been the frontrunners in the race to sign Mudryk and have three bids for the player rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk.

Further reports confirm that Chelsea’s bid for Mudryk is close to €100million, €5million more than what Arsenal offered for the player.

Arsenal made €95million bid for Mudryk but had no greenlights from the Ukrainian club to sign the player.

With the competition between the two Premier League giants now coming to the fore, Chelsea are reportedly hoping to complete the deal as soon as possible, and beat off the competition from Arsenal.

The Blues have spent a huge amount in the last transfer window and are still hoping to push through as many new signings as possible.

Since taking over as Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly has signed scores of young talents into the Blues squad.

Mykhalo Mudryk will be Chelsea’s 14th signing this season under Todd Boehly, if the deal goes through.

However, amid the interest of both Premier League clubs, the decision of Mykhailo Mudryk on his preferred destination is equally said to be important.
