Manchester United have now confirmed the injury situation of Christian Eriksen, MySportDab reports.
Coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that Christian Eriksen got injured in United’s 3-1 FA Cup win against Reading at Old Trafford.
United secured their place in the next round of the competition thanks to goals from Casemiro and Fred.
It was another impressive night of football from Manchester United as they look to finally win a trophy after six years.
However, Eriksen’s injury is the only bad news today.
The 30-year-old had to be substituted shortly after United scored due to the a knock caused by a tackle from Reading forward Andy Carroll.
Eriksen has been a very important player for United this season.
Speaking after the match, Ten Hag provided an update about the injury.
He said: “It is always difficult to bad it is after the game finished.
“But yeah his ankle got injured, and now we have to wait for the diagnosis.”
Eriksen has only missed one of United’s matches this season, the goalless draw with Newcastle in October.
United play next in the Carabao Cup for their semi final second leg against Nottingham Forest.
