Football fans at the stadium taunted Cristiano Ronaldo during Al-Nassrs’ defeat to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup, MySportDab reports.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to find the back of the net in his second debut for Al-Nassr in a competitive game.

The five times Ballon d’Or winner came across only one clear attempt to score for Al-Nassr with a powerful header but was denied by a great save by Al-Ittihad goalkeeper.

In a viral footage,  available at the end of this post, Cristiano Ronaldo’s subpar performance in the game prompted the fans to chant the name of his top rival Lionel Messi

The fans chorused in a loud voice, “Messi, Messi, Messi,” taking a swipe at the Portuguese star during the game.

The Saudi Super Cup clash with Al-Ittihad was his second appearance for Al-Nassr in a competitive game.

He has only managed just one shot on target and has been unable to find the back of the net in both games.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo had a pretty good start in his first match in Saudi Arabia when Ryadh All-Stars battled touring PSG in an exhibition game at the Fahd International Stadium.

The match pitted Cristiano Ronaldo against his long-time rival Lionel Messi in a recreation of old rivalry.

Both players scored with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging a brace while Lionel Messi scored the opening goal.

Now, after the exhibition match,  Cristiano Ronaldo is struggling to find his feet in two matches for Al-Nassr without a goal or an assist, prompting fans to take a swipe at him with Messi chants.

Cristiano Ronaldo closed an acrimonious phase in his Man United career to join Al-Nassr as a free agent on a whopping £175m-a-year-contract.
