Manchester City thrashed Chelsea 4-0 to book their ticket into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup, MySportDab reports.
It was another horrible night of football as the Blues from London stood no chance against Pep Guardiola’s for the third time this season.
First Half Report
The first half was a one sided affair which saw total control of play from Manchester City who had everything under control against their opponent.
Chelsea were playing most of the game on their half until they finally conceded from a stunning freekick which came from Riyad Mahrez to make it 1-0 in the 23rd minutes.
The game continued with so much more happening as the London side conceded a penalty which saw Julian Alvarez stepping up to make it count 2-0 in the 30th minutes of the encounter.
More ball control saw Chelsea struggling to make ant impact in the encounter which once again a poor defending saw Phil Foden made it 3-0 in the 38th minutes of the game.
Manchester City ended the first half with a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the break after a wonderful 45 minutes of football which was all about them controlling.
Second Half Report
Impressive one in the second half was both teams coming out for the remaining 45 minutes of the game which nothing was left more to prove.
Chelsea were still so poor that they could barely get any shot on target as things pushed on with so much left unattended to on the pitch.
It wasn’t looking good at any point for the away side who had made a couple of changes but nothing affected the scoreline in their favor as it progressed.
Riyad Mahrez made it his brace and 4-0 in the 85th minute of the encounter after a foul from Chelsea which saw them going further behind in the match.
Manchester City eased through into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup beating their opponent 4-0 in what was another poor display coming from the Blues.
