Villarreal claimed an impressive 2-1 victory against Real Madrid in the laliga Santander, MySportDab reports.
Carlo Ancelotti and his players were dealt with a huge blow in their pursuit to reclaim the laliga title they won last season.
First Half Report
Both teams made it tight in the first half of the encounter which saw so much coming from both ends in an attempt to make something happen.
Real Madrid came into the game looking to claim all three points to make sure their place on top of the table remain intact as other team’s are coming close.
Villarreal were well organized from their end as they did everything to make sure they did not concede while they push forward looking to make something good happen.

Second Half Report
The second half was a bit better as the goals started pouring in from both teams who were much better in their opportunities going forward.
Villarreal made it 1-0 in the 47th minutes after a wonderful teamwork effort resulted in Yeremi Pino finishing off neatly to give his side the much needed advantage.
Real Madrid responded immediately with a goal from the penalty spot which was scored by Karim Benzema in the 59th minutes of the encounter to make everything 1-1 between themselves.
The home side were awarded a penalty which saw Gerard Moreno stepping up to make it count in the 63rd minutes of the match which restored the lead 2-1 as it carried on forward.
Villarreal finished the game with them claiming all three points from a 2-1 victory against Real Madrid after 45 minutes of football played between them for the day.
