BREAKING! Manchester United CONFIRM Christian Eriksen Injury Return Date! (Details )

It is a sad one for Manchester United fans as the club has issued an official statment confirming Christian Eriksen’s injury return date, MySportDab reports.

Christian Eriksen picked up an ankle injury during Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Reading in the FA Cup.

The former Brentford forward and Denmark international was roughly tackled by ex-Liverpool and Reading forward Andy Caroll.

Christian Erikson had to limped off the pitch after the tackle and was spotted on crutches after the game.

Andy Caroll was later sent off in the game after he bagged a second yellow card following a another rough challenge on Manchester United midfield sensation Casemiro.

Caroll pulled a shock clanger within the space of 10 minutes, with strong challenge on Tyrell Malacia and then Casemiro which saw him bagged yellow cards in both occasions leading to a red card.

Christian Erikson has been phenomenal for Manchester United, but is expected to miss lot of action for the Premier League club following the injury.

A club statement released by Manchester United on the Christian Eriksen’s injury reads:

“Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is expected to be out of action for an extended period because of an ankle injury sustained in our Emirates FA Cup victory over Reading on Saturday.

While investigations are continuing, initial assessments indicate that Eriksen is likely to be out until late April or early May.”

Christian Eriksen’s absence will be a huge blow to Erik ten Hag and United fans, given his performance for the club so far in the season.

He has made 31 appearances for the club since joining the club under new manager Erik Ten Hag.
