Mikel Arteta Angry, DEBUNKS Man City Theory After FA Cup Loss (Details)

An angry Mikel Arteta have debunked the Manchester City theory after suffering FA Cup defeat in the hands of the Premier League rivals, MySportDab reports.

Arsenal went shoulders to shoulder with Manchester City at Etihad in a highly-anticipated FA Cup tie at Etihad.

Apart from deciding who progresses to the next round of the competition, the FA Cup tie was the first time Mikel Arteta face his former boss Pep Guardiola with his in-form Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Premier League title race has narrowed down to two teams with Arsenal opening a five points gap on the top of the table with a game in hand.

Mikel Arteta still has a double Premier League tie against Manchester City and the FA Cup was another test of Arsenal’s title credentials when they will come up against City in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, last season, Arsenal suffered home and away Premier League defeats to City with the Gunners playing 10-men in both games.

Arsenal have not had the better of Manchester City of recent, and yesterday’s defeat against the Premier League defending Champions added to the unfavorable stats.

However, reacting to the defeat after the game, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta debunks the Manchester City theory, saying he was disappointed with the outcome of the game.

“[I am] Really disappointed. I think we could have got much more out of the game. The action decided the game but it was a tight game and that one action changed it all. I think we could have dealt with it much better in terms of our discipline when the ball was in the box.
