Newcastle United Make U-TURN On Martin Dubravka Loan Deal With Manchester United

Newcastle United are set to call back their Manchester United loan signing Martin Dubravka, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United signed Martin Dubravka on a season-long loan from Newcastle United last summer.

So far, it appears the move by the Red Devils has not turned out as expected.

Man United fans have criticized the loan signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, with some critics labeling the move as ‘pointless.’

Now, Newcastle United have reportedly concluded plans to recall Dubravka from the loan deal.

Martin Dubravka has made only two appearances for the Red Devils, and both appearances have come in the Carabao Cup.

He has not been used in the Premier League and the Europa League by the Red Devils, with out-of-favour David de Gea still remaining Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper.

In Martin Dubravka’s Carabao Cup appearance for the Red Devils, he failed to keep a clean sheet and has been criticized by United fans, who considered the move “pointless” in the first place.

The Red conceded goals against Aston Villa and Burnley in the Carabao Cup but were able to outscore both teams and progress to the next round of the tournament.

Now, it has been confirmed that Newcastle United will bring back Martin Dubravka to St James Park this January, terminating the loan deal with the Red Devils.

David De Gea is still Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper, but it appears the Red Devils are not eager to extend the contract of the Spaniard, which expires at the end of the summer.
