“Eating Fufu Makes Me Run Fast,”- Adeyemi After Solo Goal Vs Chelsea! (Video

Karim Adeyemi scored a beautiful solo goal against Chelsea at the Signa Iduna Park to help Borussia secure a crucial first leg Champions League win over Chelsea, MySportDab reports.

The Munich-born Germany international picked his pace right from his own half and sped pass Chelsea midfielders and defenders to score a solo goal that secured an important win of the home side.

Speaking in a post match conference after the goal, the 21-year old attributed his incredible speed to a Nigerian delicacy called “Fufu.”

Fufu is a typical Nigerian dish made from cassava and can be used with any soup.

In s somewhat humorous manner, Karim Adeyemi said it because he consumes “Fufu” that is why he was able to take such a long run pass Chelsea players to score the goal.

In his words, when asked about his speed, Karim Adeyemi said, “I eat a lot of Fufu and also have good genetics from my Dad.”

Karim Adeyemi is of Nigerian descent. His father is a Nigerian while his mother is a Romanian.

He was born and raised in Munich, Germany where he started and nursed his football career.

Adeyemi played for Bayern Munich youth team, where he started his football career, before joining Red Bull Salzburg, where he made his first senior club appearance.

From 2018 to 2022, he made 68 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg, scoring 27 goals before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2022.

Since joining the German club, he has made 15 appearances. His goal against Chelsea was his second goal for the club

Karim Adeyemi plays for Germany national team and has risen through the ranks in Germany national from the U-16, U-17, U-21, to the senior national team level.

He made his senior national team debut in 2021 and has won 4 caps for the team, scoring 1 goal.
