Erik ten Hag has now been seen in a restaurant with former Manchester United Coach Sir Alex Ferguson, MySportDab reports.
They met up a few days before Manchester United’s key matches against Barcelona and Newcastle coming up.
Ten Hag and Ferguson were seen talking over dinner in Italian restaurant Cibo in Wilmslow.
The Dutch coach is currently trying to win a trophy for Manchester United across all competitions in his first season.
So, Alex Ferguson was happy to give him some advice at the restaurant, where he has been seen regularly.
Ten Hag has turned United into a potential contender for the Premier league title, they remain in the FA Cup, and face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
But the Red Devils will host Barcelona today at Old Trafford for the Europa League second leg.
Both clubs played out an exciting 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Nou Camp last week.
Ferguson was in charge when Man United won their last match against Barcelona, 1-0 in the Champions League semi-final in 2008.
Now, Ten Hag believes his team are developing the hunger that was present in the squad under Fergie.
‘I believe it,’ he said.
‘Teams must build that mentality, and belief, that a game only ends when the final whistle is blown.
‘To remain in the game, you must construct that and have the experiences to improve even more to a higher level of mentality.’
Manchester United under Ferguson had a reputation of coming back during the final stages of games.
