Manchester United are now planning for two major signings this summer to strengthen the squad, MySportDab reports.

Erik ten Hag is keen for a centre forward and a new player in midfield for the next transfer window.

The Red Devils will consider signing a centre-back if captain Harry Maguire leaves.

United ended their trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday and Ten Hag’s side are still other other competitions.

Now, According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have started making plans to further strengthen the United squad.

Ten Hag short list of strikers include Napoli star Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane, and Goncalo Ramos.

The manager also like Ajax player Mohammed Kudus, and believes he has the potential to play in the Premier League.

In midfielder, Ten Hag has not given up on Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, despite the player refusing to sign last summer.

Given that Barcelona’s financial issues, a second attempt to sign the Netherlands international could be possible.

Ten Hag is also a big fan of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, but they face competition from Liverpool and other clubs.

However, any summer signings must follow player sales to ensure United comply with UEFA’s financial sustainability rules.

Players that could be sold this summer with good offers include Harry Maguire, Alex Telles, and Anthony Martial.

United are still planning despite uncertainty over the ownership of the club.

While the current owners, the Glazer family received bids for United, they might not sell after all.

Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are both the main contenders for the club.

An injection of cash would allow United to sign players in the summer.
