Manchester United claimed the EFL Carabao Cup title after beating Newcastle United 2-0, MySportDab reports.
Marcus Rashford was at his best once again as he helped the Red Devils claim the much needed victory for the night.
First Half Report
The first half of the game had a lot coming from the Old Trafford faithful who dominated the whole play and did a lot going forward.
Manchester United did a lot going forward as Casemiro scored the opening goal in the 33rd minutes from an outstanding finish which made it 1-0.
Newcastle United were solid but couldn’t make anything happen from their end despite how they look good in attacking and pushing forward.
Another goal was scored in the 39th minutes of the match which came from a finish from Marcus Rashford which Sven Botman had a touch making it an own-goal and 2-0.
The first half of the match ended with Manchester United taking a 2-0 advantage into the break against Newcastle United who couldn’t do enough.
Second Half Report
The second half of the match kicked off with a lot coming from both ends as they gave in all their best to ensure it all went in their favor.
Manchester United were balanced and continued to hold on to their lead which they had to face a lot of pressure coming from their opponent who wanted to make something happen.
Newcastle United were good enough in the second half which they kept things going and looking to make something of sort happen but they failed woefully.
The final 10 minutes of the match saw a lot happening from both ends with mostly the away side for the game pushing with so much in attempt to score a goal which didn’t come.
The match came to an end with Manchester United beating Newcastle United 2-0 to claim the EFL Carabao and Erik Ten Hag first silverware.
