FT: RB Leipzig 1-1 Manchester City, Citizens Manage DRAW! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Manchester City earned a 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig in the first leg of the knockout stages in the Champions League, MySportDab reports.

It was a disappointing game for the Premier League side who couldn’t make anything much happen from their end despite everything.

First Half Report 

Pep Guardiola and his players enjoyed the first half of the game which could have easily seen them making more of what they got.

Manchester City dominated play from the kickoff which saw them also coming close with some opportunities but couldn’t put any of them to good use.

RB Leipzig did well until they were hit with a stunning finish from Riyad Mahrez in the 27th minute of the match which gifted the Premier League side a 0-1 advantage.

The game looked sharp for the remaining minutes which also saw more opportunities but all led to nothing good that could have changed the scoreline with few minutes left on the clock.

Manchester City headed inside for the break with a 0-1 advantage against RB Leipzig after 45 minutes of football which was played between them.

Second Half Report 

The second half was much better for the home side who did a lot to ensure they didn’t embarrass themselves on their home ground.

Manchester City carried on with their dominance in the match they were unable to add their advantage as the game continued between them.

RB Leipzig scored the leveler in the 70th minute of the encounter which came from highly rated defender Josko Gvardiol who was able to make things 1-1 between them.

The game progressed further with a lot more being seen but nothing of a goal happened as they could only make opportunities which led to nothing valuable.

Manchester City ended the match playing a shocking 1-1 draw against RB Leipzig which they now have all the work to do in the second leg at their home ground.
