Romelu Lukaku was caught on a live footage attacking his Inter Milan teammate on the pitch during the Sampdoria game, MySportDab reports.
The Chelsea loanee to the Serie outfit had no scruples engaging the Nicolo Barella in a heated exchange in a shock and surprising move.
The incident happened live on the pitch as Inter Milan’s frustratuon grew after they failed to break through the Sampdoria defense to register a goal.
In a viral footage that is available at the end if this post, Romelu Lukaku could be seen shouting at Niccolo Barella.
Barella also shouted back at the Belgium international, sparking a big fury that nearly brought the game to a standstill.
Romelu Lukaku had reportedly told Barella to stop flapping his arms around in frustration.
Barella ignored him and gave a negative response which erred Romelu Lukaku, with both of them caught up in a heated exchange, throwing tantrums at each other.
It is believed the clash between the two stars, which started at the 40th minute, must have been triggered by Inter Milan’s inability to have their way against their hosts at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
Lukaku shouted ”Don’t do that, enough with these arms! Do not do that! It’s not good, it’s insulting, now stop
Lukaku’s comments didn’t go down well with Barella – who fired back at the 29-year-old forward on loan from Chelsea.
Lukaku was furious with the midfielder’s response and attacked back. He shouted again ‘F*** you, son of a b***h’
The incident was shocking to those at the sidelines, including Inter Milan manager Inzaghi.
After the game, Inzaghi said; ”These things happen on the pitch, they shouldn’t happen and I don’t like to see them.”
”They were sat together during the break and are great friends. Obviously, these are incidents I don’t want to see,” he added.
Lukaku and Barella are said to be close friends hence the incident was very shocking.
However, there are reports they quicky mended their differences after the game and return to their friendship.
