Manchester United Ready To Launch £107m Bid For Victor Osimhen (Details)

Manchester United are now preparing to pay the British transfer record of £107m to sign for Victor Osimhen, MySportDab reports.

The Nigerian striker is United’s top transfer target for next season after some impressive performances with 16 goals as Serie A’s top scorer.

Osimhen continued his form with two goals on Sunday in Napoli’s 3-0 win over Spezia and helped them extend their lead at the top of the table.

Coach Erik ten Hag had to rely on Anthony Martial before January despite his injury issues and January loanee Wout Weghorst has refused to burden now.

However, the Dutch coach wants to bring in a new striker in the summer to build on a brilliant stellar debut season at Old Trafford.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are confident that the Premier League giants will match Osimhen’s £107m release clause.

However, United may face competition from Chelsea, who are also in signing a new striker in the summer.

The Blues are still using Kai Havertz as a false number nine despite spending so much money on attacking players in the January transfer window.

Also, Manchester United are ready to let Anthony Martial leave the club in the summer after another injury burden season.

That would raise more funds for Ten Hag to sign Osimhen as an ideal replacement for his squad’s attack.

The Nigerian is likely to join Manchester United if both clubs can reach an agreement and personal terms won’t be an issue.

United have performed far better than expected in Ten Hag’s debut season in charge of the club and are now currently third in the league table.

Marcus Rashford’s fantastic form is undeniable with 18 goals scored across all competitions for the club this season.

The Red Devils also have an interest in Tottenham captain Harry Kane, but a deal would be very complicated.

However, the club may not be able to sign big players in the summer if the current owners Glazer family can’t finalise a sale before the next transfer window opens.
