Manchester United have now made a drastic and shocking decision about Anthony Martial’s future at the club, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils are now open to selling Martial in the summer and to sign a new long-term striker.

According to The Manchester Evening News, Martial is one of the players United have placed on transfer list and now await offers.

United Captain Harry Maguire and Alex Telles are also on the transfer list and could leave this summer should a suitable offer arrive.

United’s decision to sell Martial is not surprising due to his problems with injuries this season.

He returned back after some time to score in the League Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

However, he could not make the squad for the Premier League draw against Crystal Palace three days later.

He has missed 20 of United’s 34 matches across this season and has been absent for 16 weeks due to injury lay-offs.

The Frenchman remains under contract until 2024 and united still have the option to extend for an additional year, so the summer transfer window is the best time to sell Martial.

Coach Erik ten Hag has made it clear that a new goalscorer is a top priority for next season and United are interested in Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

Ten Hag is also a fan of Portugal’s Goncalo Ramos and Ajax player Mohammed Kudus.

Martial scored only eight goals for United in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.

He signed for Sevilla in January 2022 on loan but scored one goal in La Liga, and got sent back to Old Trafford.
