The 21-year-year-old was arrested by UK prosecutors, unfollowed by his Manchester United teammates, suspended from the squad, and lost sponsorship deals with his sponsors.

His burgeoning Manchester United career hit the rocks as he ran into a legal tussle with the alleged victim.

Greenwood was subsequently granted but rearrested after he reportedly breached bail conditions.

However, he was granted bail before the Crown Prosecuting Service, CPS, finally decided to drop all charges against the Manchester United forward.

The CPS cited the “withdrawal of key witnesses” as the reason the charges against Greenwood were dropped.

Expressing his relief and happiness after the charges were dropped, Mason Greenwood hoped to return to Manchester United but was kept out from the club as Manchester United insisted on conducting their own Investigations after the dropped charges.

Meanwhile, some male and female Manchester United players reportedly had mixed feelings about Mason Greenwood’s return praying the club does not recall him to the squad.

In a major twist to Greenwood’s rape saga, reports had emerged Mason Greenwood is expecting a baby with Harriet Robson.

Now, The Sun has confirmed Mason Green has engaged with the Manchester United hierarchy with his own version of events for the first time after the rape charges were dropped.

The report admits the Red Devils are ready to proceed on an investigation on Mason Greenwood as planned but want to give the beleaguered youngster a fair hearing before proceeding with the investigations.

Manchester United have three options on the table after their Investigations on Greenwood – they may sell him in the summer, recall him to the squad or outrightly terminate his contract.

There are projections the investigation may drag on till the end of the season, and Mason Greenwood is not likely to feature for the Red Devils this season.
