All the 26 MLS clubs are reportedly ready to bankroll Lionel Messi’s move to the MLS to boost the league’s profile ahead of the 2026 World Cup, MySportDab reports.

Lionel has a few months remaining in his two-year PSG contract which expires at end of the season.

Messi is yet to renew his PSG contract and contract talks have reportedly stalled after he returned from the World Cup.

He has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, including David Beckham’s Inter Miami, and a return to Barcelona.

Recently, Lionel Messi was booed by PSG ultras who decried his high wage earning at the club but the club still crash out of the Champions League.

They targeted Messi for not doing enough for the club despite making a huge percentage of the club’s wage spending.

While his father and agent, Jorge, has come out to debunk all speculations linking Lionel Messi to PSG exit at the end of the summer, there are indications Lionel Messi is not having his best time in Paris.

Now, reports from a Spanish media outlet, Sport, says all MLS clubs are planning to bankroll Lionel Messi’s move to the US to boost the league’s profile ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The move is being adopted as a measure to escape possible US financial sanctions if only one club decides to sign Lionel Messi with his $1.1m weekly wage earning.

All the 26 clubs are reportedly ready to fund the move then Lionel Messi will choose which club he wants to play for on arrival.

Lionel Messi joined PSG in 2021 from Barcelona, signing a two-year contract.

Despite his addition to the star-studded Ligue 1 giants, the club has not progressed pass Champions League quarterfinal in the last two years.
