Manchester United have taken a decision on Casemiro red card, MySportDab reports.

Casemiro saw his second red card of the season in the game against Southampton at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The former Real Madrid midfielder took to a strong challenge on Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz and was shown a yellow card first before a VAR call for a review of the decision.

After the VAR review, Anthony Taylor was forced to jettison the yellow card and issue a straight red card to Casemiro, 11 minutes before the end of the game.

It was his second red card of the season and he will miss four matches for the Red Devils.

Games that Casemiro will miss include Manchester United’s FA Cup quarterfinal against Newcastle United, and three Premier League games against Newcastle United, Brentford, and Everton.

The red card could be a huge blow to Manchester United’s fortunes this season in the Premier League this season.

Now, according to Manchester United Evening News, the Red Devils have decided not to appeal Casemiro’s red card by Anthony Taylor.

Erik Ten Hag accepted the decision and gave Anthony Taylor a hug after the game.

Manchester United plays Re Betis in their next game and Casemiro will likely return to action in that game but will not feature for the Red Devils in domestic competitions in the next four matches.

Casemiro could also miss Manchester United’s Europa League quarterfinal first leg if he picks up a booking in the round 16 second leg against Real Betis on Thursday.
