Manchester United’s manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed the injury return date of Christian Eriksen, MySportDab reports.

Christian Eriksen picked up an excruciating ankle injury in Manchester United’s FA Cup clash against Reading.

He was substituted by Erik Ten Hag after the injury and was seen limping off Old Trafford in crutches after the game.

After an examination of the injury by the club’s medical team, it was confirmed he will be sidelined for three months and miss a number of games for the Red Devils.

However, a report on the situation of the injury by Erik Ten Hag has confirmed Christian Eriksen will return to the Manchester United lineup next month.

In a statement made available on Manchester United’s website, Erik Ten Hag confirmed Eriksen will be fit to return to full action next month instead of May as suggested.

“Yes, some point in April, he will be back,” the manager told MUTV’s Mark Sullivan at Carrington. “He is doing really well, really good in his rehab.

“The progress is very good and we have to see how that develops in the coming weeks.”

Christian Eriksen’s injury return is coming earlier than predicted and will be a big boost for the team after the International break.

Manchester United will battle Spanish side Sevilla in the Europa League Quarterfinal in a two-legged tie.

The club also has a list of Premier League fixtures lineup for the month and will welcome Eriksen back to the team with Casemiro facing a four-match ban.

Before the injury, Christian Eriksen was instrumental in Manchester United’s brilliant run in the Premier League.

He played 19 Premier League matches for the Red Devils, scored one goal, and delivered seven assists.
