Guinea-Bissau shocked the Super Eagles of Nigeria after beating them 0-1 in Abuja for AFCON qualifiers match, MySportDab reports.
The result saw Super Eagles slipped down to second position on the group with their opponent leading the race.
First Half Report
The first half had so much coming from both teams who had a lot of work to do against each other going forward in the game.
Nigeria started well dominating the game and doing everything to stay ahead of their opponent except scoring of goals which they couldn’t make happen.
Guinea-Bissau were involved in the match as they did all they were able to make sure they soak in all the pressure that was thrown at them by the home side.
The away side took the lead in the 29th minutes which saw a goal scored by Mama Balde which was able to make the scoreline 0-1 as they both carried on.
The game came to an end in the first half with Guinea-Bissau taking a 0-1 advantage into the break making sure they were better than Nigeria after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
The second half was one which saw the away side doing all in their power to make sure their defending was pinpoint all through.
Guinea-Bissau knew the only chance they had was to make sure they defend all through the remaining 45 minutes while also pushing to make something happen.
Nigeria continued to struggle in the match as they were eager to make a comeback which wasn’t working out for them as they hit one hour mark.
More opportunities was seen with substitution took place for the Super Eagles who looked desperate searching for the leveler as it carried on upward.
The game ended with the Super Eagles of Nigeria losing at home 0-1 against Guinea-Bissau who were better than them all through the 90 minutes.
