A Nigerian Music Star Burnaboy has been slated to perform in the 2022/23 Champions League final, MySportDab reports.
The Nigerian superstar and hip-hop maestro will anchor the kickoff show which will take place in Turkey on June 10.
The kickoff show sponsored by UEFA Champions League official partner, Pepsi, will feature the Nigerian-born Grammy Awards winner.
Burnaboy is one of the most popular Nigerian musicians that has taken his talent to the global stage with millions of followers across the globe.
Burnaboy has traversed the length and breadth of the world with his immense and great music hits and lyrics.
UEFA confirm today on its official website the top-rated music artist has been earmarked to feature on the kickoff show.
Reacting to the development which marks a milestone in his music career, Burnaboy said, “the world is not ready for what we have in store.
Burnaboy rose to the top of the global music chart with two of his hit tracks ‘Last Last’ and ‘Plenty.’
The UEFA Champions League Kickoff Show was previously named UEFA Champions League Opening Ceremony.
The event has been anchored by Pepsi in the past seven years with millions of global audiences.
Burnaboy added he will be so happy to perform at the event apart from being a football fan himself and will hope to bring the magical touch of his lyrics to the event.

The tournament has entered the quarterfinal stages after the round 16 stages were completed yesterday.
Teams that have qualified for the last eight of the competition include Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, and Real Madrid.
The draws for the round of the competition will be held on Friday 17, with Real Madrid hoping to defend the trophy they won last year.
The Champions League Kickoff Show will take place at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul on June 10.
