However, Willian has leveled all other contenders to win the award for the first time since returning to the Premier League to play for London club Fulham.

It was a great and beautiful goal by the Brazil international against Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage.

Picking the ball inside in the right flank inside the Nottingham Forest box, Willian rounded well Forest defenders before curling a left-footed strike into the top left corner.

The goal left the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper helpless and stunned as the ball crashed into the net liked a carefully measured and thrown projectille.

It was one of those brilliant moments of the former Chelsea star, who reliving his glory days in style at Craven Cottage to put the team through against Steve Cooper’s boys.

Right from his days at Chelsea, Willian has always been a top and reliable player with courage, pace and good dribbling skills.

He has been instrumental for Marco Silva’s team this season and has been on top of his game each time he is fielded for the club.

His goal was a cracker perfectly deserving the award without questions.

Apparently, Nottingham Forest defenders and the goalkeeper did not anticipate the strike from such a tight angle but the Brazil international made it count and delivered it perfectly into tbe net in style.

The match ended in a 2-0 win for Fulham.
