Cristiano Ronaldo almost choked his Opponent during Al-Nassr’s loss to Al-Hilal on Tuesday, MySportDab reports.
Nigerian striker Ighalo scored twice as Al-Hilal won the match 2-0 and removed Ronaldo’s chances of winning the league title.
However, instead of doing everything with his leg, Ronaldo got booked by the referee for a dangerous WWE style challenge.
The Portuguese man went on his opponent, wrapped his arm around the player’s neck before bringing him to the ground.
Despite the horrible challenge from the 38-year-old, he was received a yellow card from former Premier League referee Michael Oliver.
As the match came close to an end, Ronaldo scored after running onto a long ball but he was completely offside.
Al-Nassr recently sacked manager Rudi garcia amid reports he failed to control the dressing room.
Needing a win to ensure they stayed in touch with the league leaders, Ronaldo and his teammates conceded twice.
Now, Al-Ittihad are three points clear at the top of the league after playing one less game.
The choking incident has now gone viral on social media with videos getting thousands of views on Twitter.
It remains to be seen which club will win the Saudi league title this season.
