Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is reportedly ready to raid Brighton for two biggest names to bolster the Manchester United midfield, MySportDab reports.
Manchester United lost Casemiro to a four-match suspension ban and have struggled to eke out wins without the midfield sensation.
Marcel Sabitzer has been deployed to cover up for the Red Devils at the middle of the park but Casemiro’s absence is heavily felt at the squad.
Christian Eriksen was also injured and has recently return back to the squad from the sidelines but the benchmarks at United’s middle leave much to be desired.
Now, according to reports, Erik Ten Hag is not satisfied with the club’s midfield line up with it attendant weaknesses in the absence of Casemiro and Eriksen.
The Dutch tactician is reportedly eyeing a summer move for two prolific and promising midfielders at Brighton to bolster Manchester United midfield.
The two big names on the radar of Erik Ten Hag are Ecuadorian midfield sensation Moises Caicedo and Argentina World Cup winner Marc Allister.
The two players have been at the heart of Brighton’s push for European football season and have been incredible for the Seagulls’ Premier League run this season.
Moises Caicedo was a top transfer target for Mikel Arteta in January but Brighton refused to sell and tied down the player with a fresh new contract.
Marc Allister, who won the World Cup with Argentina, has also reportedly penned down a new deal with the Seagulls.
However, the Telegraph reports, the two players are top on Erik Ten Hag’s shorttlist for Manchester United midfield options in the summer.
Brighton have previously made their transfer stand on Moises Caicedo known and will reportedly maintained same in the summer with Marc Allister.
Hence, the two players will roughly cost Manchester United about £70m each if any deal is to happen.
It it yet unclear whether the Red Devils will be ready to doll out £140m for the two players but Erik Ten Hag’s interest in both players remains strong.
