Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has sent a message to Manchester United flops after Newcastle’s loss, MySportDab reports.
Erik Ten Hag berated the lack of drive and fighting spirit by Manchester United players in the game against Newcastle United and have issued a warning to the players who fell below expectations.
Ten Hag described Manchester United’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle as “unacceptable” and was not comfortable with the attitude of the players.
While acknowledging the human limits of the players since they are “no robots,” Ten Hag said they must act as one if they are to work with him going forward.
“I know they are not robots, but the result against Newcastle was below expectations and unacceptable.
“We have to act like robots going forward and delivering results because that is what is demanded at Manchester United”
Manchester United will take on Brentford in their next game today as they hope to return to winning ways.
After winning the Carabao Cup, Manchester United have struggled in the Premier League.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand said the players have downed tools after winning the Carabao Cup.
United’s poor run of form has been worsened since Casemiro received a four-match ban.
They have dropped out of the top four and will need a win against Brentford to return to the top four.
However, the team is not far from a triple this season.
They are in the FA Cup semifinals and Europa League quarterfinal.
