Manchester City outclassed Liverpool in a 4-1 result which gave the home side the needed victory, MySportDab reports.
Despite Erling Haaland’s absence, Pep Guardiola and his players were able to get the job done on their home ground all through the 90 minutes.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was evenly balanced between both of them as they displayed so much quality going forward against themselves.
The first 15 minutes of the match saw both of them doing more than enough and Liverpool had the grace of creating more opportunities.
Manchester City lost focus in the match and immediately saw Mohamed Salah give the visitors a 0-1 lead as they both carried on after the 17th-minute goal.
It didn’t take too long for the home side to make a comeback which happened in the 27th minute with a stunner from Julian Alvarez who made it 1-1 with an assist from Jack Grealish.
The first half came to an end with Manchester City holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw after an excellent 45 minutes which took place between them for the day.
Second Half Report
The second half was good with the home side making sure they completed the job they started in the first 45 minutes which was good.
Manchester City wasted no time in making the scoreline 2-1 in the 46th minute of the encounter which saw Kevin De Bruyne scoring off an assist from Riyad Mahrez.
Liverpool was all over the place as another goal was scored in the 54th minute which was able to see things increased further for the home side 3-1 through Ilkay Gundogan.
Jack Grealish scored in the 74th minutes of the game which saw the scoreline increased further to 4-1 as the match was already done and dusted.
The match came to an end with Manchester City completing the job with a 4-1 victory against Liverpool who were unable to match the quality of the home side which was amazing.
