Thomas Tuchel Breaks Silence on Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane Bust-up!

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has broken his silence on the clash between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane, MySportDab reports.

The former Chelsea manager seemed to come to the defense of Sadio Mane after the incident while anticipating his quick return from suspension.

Sadio Mane and Leroy were caught up in a violent bust-up inside Bayern Munich dressing room after their first leg Champions League loss to Manchester City at Etihad.

According to BILD, Sadio Mane accused Leroy Sane of speaking rudely to him while both players were on the pitch.

After the game, the Senegal international lost his cool with the German international and punched him in the face.

The two players then clashed exchanging blows in a bitter brawl before other teammates in the dressing intervened and separated them to restore calm.

Sadio Mane has apologized for attacking Leroy Sane but has not escaped the sanctions of Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich did not comment on the incident when it occurred but it had been confirmed that a disciplinary action has been taken against Sadio Mane for the assault.

He has been axed from Bayern Munich game against Hoffenhiem in the Bundesliga.

The Hoffenhiem match is the only game, Sadio Mane will miss because it has been confirmed he has been served only a one-match ban.

This means he will be available for the Bayern Munich Champions League return leg against Manchester City.

Now, reacting to the incident and the ban slammed on Sadio Mane, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel said;

“The situation has been settled with a one-match suspension and a fine as usual.

“The two players, including other players dealt with it very well and the incident has been cleaned off the slate.”

“However, I am here to defend Mane. I have known him as a top football professional for years.

“Sadio Mane has not been guilty of nay misconduct. He knows the rules and he has done the needful by apologizing.”

Mane will return to action against Manchester City in Champions League quarterfinal first leg but will not be available for the Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim.
