Arsenal claimed a narrow victory against Newcastle United 0-2 to keep title hopes alive, MySportDab reports.
Martin Odegaard scored the goal which helped the Gunners claimed all three points in the encounter.
First Half Report
The first half between both teams wasn’t far from them as they had equal chances of making anything happen for themselves.
So much came for Newcastle United who are also fighting to make a top four finish and needed to make sure they scored in the match.
Arsenal took the lead in the 14th minutes which saw Jorginho setting up Martin Odegaard who finished off neatly as the scoreline turned 0-1 between them.
The game was evenly contested in the remaining minutes of the match which had a lot more coming from them but no goal happened.
The first half ended with Arsenal taking the much needed 0-1 lead into the break against Newcastle United who couldn’t make anything happen.
Second Half Report
The second half had so much coming from the home side who wanted to make a comeback, but it wasn’t happening for them.
Newcastle United controlled a fair amount of the ball possession which they couldn’t make anything happen when it was needed the most to come.
Arsenal maintained their stand and had to make sure they defended well knowing they couldn’t drop any more points with Manchester City already on top.
Fabian Schar scored an own-goal in the 71st minutes of the match which made the scoreline increased for the away side to 0-2.
Nothing else came to play in the match which saw the Gunners keeping things down and maintaining their advantage going forward and defending so well.
Arsenal ensured they capture all three points beating Newcastle United 0-2 to keep their title hopes alive with one point behind Manchester City.
