Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has broken his silence on the problems bedeviling Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
Since taking over as the club’s new owner, Chelsea have witnessed a drastic drop in the club’s fortunes.
Chelsea’s struggle this season is coming amidst Todd Boehly’s £600m transfer spending on new players.
Under his watch, Chelsea have fallen and sruggle into the hands of three different managers – Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Frank Lampard.
Todd Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel just few months after taking over Chelsea new owner.
He appointed former Brighton gaffer, Graham Potter to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
The change of hands in the Chelsea dugout did not make any difference on the club’s struggles in the Premier League.
Todd Boehly finally sacked Graham Potter and appointed Chelsea legend and former manager Frank Lampard on interim basis.
Under Lampard, Chelsea are yet to win a single game.
They have lost all their games under Lampard including back-to-back defeat to Real Madrid that saw the club crash out of Champions League.
Todd Boehly has partly blamed for what has befallen in this campaign.
Now, the American investor has finally spoken on the problems that has bedeviled the club.
Speaking and addressing the fans following the club’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal, Todd Boehly said;
”I know the fans are not happy and making demands.
”You are aware every fan wants the club to winning games and we want to win too.
“But the fans should understand we are committed to the Chelsea project which is long-term.
‘We are optimistic we will get it right and return to winning was.
”We have the best League in the world with a top city and were are in the best location in the city. We will bounce back.
Chelsea are 12th on the Premier League table with 39 points, 9 points away from relegation.
Should they continue losing their last remaining matches, they could end up in relegation.
