Arsenal Open Talks for Kai Havertz, Real Madrid Exit Race! [Details]

Arsenal have opened talks to sign Chelsea star, Kai Havertz, MySportDab reports.

The Gunners who crashed out of the Premier League title race in the just-concluded season are ramping up attempts to bolster the club’s lineup options ahead of next season.

Fabrizio Romano reports the Gunners have officially open talks with Chelsea to sign Kai Havertz this summer.

The report adds Arsenal have officially approached Chelsea for a possible deal to sign the player.

Chelsea are willing to sell Kai Havertz this summer as they look to offload some players from the overbloated squad for a new beginning under Mauricio Pochettino.

They have laid out a clear initial fee of £75m for Kai Havertz but sources close to the club have revealed they are open to a change of the price tag.

Realistically, Arsenal will not want to pay that much for Havertz despite prioritizing player as one of their top options in the midfield next summer.

There are projections Chelsea could trim down the price tag from £75m to £70m as the negotiation with Arsenal progresses.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are yet to table an official bid for the player but that is expected in a few days.

Real Madrid were also interested in signing Kai Havertz this summer but have now exited the race due to the high price tag by Chelsea.

According to reports, Real Madrid were not even ready to pay as much as £50m for Kai Havertz and were immediately turned off when it was confirmed Chelsea will demand as much as £75m for the player.

Arsenal are now the leading contenders in the race for Kai Havertz and will hope to sign the player in addition to their long-standing interest in West Ham and England midfield sensation Declan Rice.

They are preparing an official bid for Declan Rice soon and will hope to sign the player from West Ham this summer.
