Premier League champions Manchester City have submitted their first bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, MySportDab reports.

Declan Rice has been a prime summer target for top Premier League clubs this summer with Arsenal leading the race to sign the highly-rated England midfielder.

There has been reports Manchester City were ready to enter the race to sign Declan Rice this summer as thru looked set to bolster the club’s midfield following the exit of IIkay Gundogan.

Now, reports reaching us from David Ornstein of the Athletic has confirmed Manchester City have tabled an official first bid for Declan Rice in an attempt to rival Arsenal in the race to sign the player.

The report adds Manchester City’s opening bid for Declan Rice is £80m transfer fee and £10m add-ons, adding up to a total of £90m.

MySportDab understand Arsenal were the first to table an official bid for Declan Rice to sign the player.

The Gunners first tabled a £80m offer, £70m fee + £10m add-ons which was immediately rejected by West Ham United.

After the first bid was rejected, the Gunners tabled another bid worth £90m, with. £10m increase on the first bid but it was still turned down by West Ham.

Now, Manchester City are now submitting an offer matching Arsenal’s second offer for Declan Rice, with West Ham are more likely to reject the bid.

West Ham are believed to value Declan Rice in excess of £100m and will not budge on their demand until they bagged the right offer.

Fabrizio Romano reports Arsenal are aware of Manchester City’s rival bid and are studying the situation to launch their third bid soon.
