Manchester United are now preparing a new £50million offer for Mason Mount, MySportDab reports.
Chelsea rejected United’s first offer of £40m for the 24-year-old, despite his contract expiring in the summer of 2024.
There has been so much uncertainty about Mount’s future at Chelsea and Erik Ten Hag wants a new attacking sensed midfielder.
Liverpool were also interested in signing the Chelsea player, but dropped out of the race.
This would mark the end of an era for Mount at Chelsea, since he joined the club’s academy in 2015 and now in the first team.
He scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 195 matches for Chelsea during his time at the club.
During his time, he won the Champions League, and provided the assist to setup Kai Havertz for the winner against Manchester City in the final.
However, this season has been affected by injuries, with an ankle injury in February, before an abdominal problem in April.
He’s not been available for 12 premier league matches this season due to injury, but still scored three goals from 24 league games.
Since the season ended, he’s currently enjoying his holiday and was spotted on the grid at the Barcelona Grand Prix alongside Ben Chilwell.
In February, According to the Daily Mail Sport, Chelsea tried to offer Mount a new deal but talks failed.
However, Declan Rice is another player set to leave West Ham, but Arsenal’s offer of £90m has been rejected so far.
Manchester United are also closely monitoring the England midfielder’s availability.
