PSG manager Christophe Galtier has been arrested by French Police officers for charges of racial discrimination, MySportDab reports.
According to reports from French media outlets, Christophe allegedly indulge in racial discrimination while he was manager at Nice.
RMC Sports reports Christophe Galtier and his adopted son John Valovic-Galtier, has been arrested and taken into custody by French Police.
The arrest is said to have happen this morning and was undertaken by the security officers who are currently investigating the allegations.
Before the arrest, Christophe Galtier and Valovic-Galtier were reportedly summoned by the Police after the allegations were made.
Christophe Galtier and Valovic-Galtier will now be in custody for 24 hours based on French law as the investigation into the incident continues.
After 24 hours, they will be expected to be arraigned before a court of law for hearing before final judgement.
According to L’Equipe, the allegations against Galtier and his adopted son was made by Julien Fournier, who was a Sporting Director at Nice.
Fournier alleges Christophe Galtier made discriminatory racial and islamaphobic remarks while he was at Nice.
Nice officials have reportedly been interviewed by the Police following the allegations.
Galtier has denied the accusations but a leaked email back in April reveals the former Nice manager complained of ‘having too many black and Muslim players at Nice.’
Christophe Galtier is leaving PSG this summer with Luis Enrique set to replace him as new manager at PSG.
Galtier and his adopted son are likely to face a life behind bars if they are convicted of the said scandal.
