The 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers Draw From Group A to Group I has been released, MySportDab reports.

All 54 member nations of CAF have known their opponent for the 10 matchdays tournament which will kickoff from November 13, 2023 to November, 2025.

The draws consist of nine groups with six teams each who are expected to play their opponents in a home and away games to decide the group winners.

Key highlights of the draws features Africa first World Cup semi-finalists against Zambia in the same while Nigeria and South Africa are drawn in the same group.

2026 World Cup African Qualifiers Module

Africa has 9.5 slots in the 2026 World Cup meaning 9 direct representatives and one going through the playoffs.

All the nine group winners will automatically book a ticket to the 2026 World Cup while four best second-placed finishers will go into CAF playoffs.

The winner of the CAF playoffs will represent Africa in FIFA intercontinental playoffs and will book a ticket to the tournament if they win the FIFA playoffs.
