The reason Arsenal have delayed the announcement of Declan Rice has been revealed, MySportDab reports

Recall Arsenal completed a British record move for highly-rated England and West Ham star Declan Rice.

After two rounds of rejected bids, Arsenal beat the competition from Manchester City to table a record £105m bid for the player which was finally accepted by West Ham.

After having the third bid accepted, it was confirmed the two clubs have finally reached agreement on payment terms and other critical aspects of the deal.

As expected, Arsenal needed to announce the signing of Declan Rice after the completion of the move but for over a week now the club is yet to announce the signing of the player.

There have been speculations about what may likely be holding off the announcement of Declan Rice after the deal was completed.

Now, according to reports from SkySports, West Ham are not a party to the delay of the announcement as the club have agreed all terms with Arsenal.

However, the delay have been caused by the failure of Arsenal lawyers to approve the final wordings of Declan Rice deal as agreed by the two clubs.

It is understood when Arsenal lawyers have finally approved and signed the documents of the deal, then announcement will follow immediately.

As at the time of filing this report, it is still unclear when Arsenal lawyers will approve the wordings of the agreement but sources close to the club have revealed the approval may likely be given before Thursday when Arsenal will begin their preseason against Nurnberg.

Declan Rice is Arsenal’s third big signing this summer with Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber also added to the squad.
