Saudi Arabia club Ettifaq have unveiled Steven Gerrard as their new manager, MySportDab reports.
The former Aston Villa boss will be making a return back to coaching in the Saudi Arabia professional League.
Steven Gerrard will be taking over as the new manager with Ettifaq where he will be hoping to revive his career.
The announcement was made official by the club on their official social media handle which they shared a vide.
Steven Gerrard will be coming in with his experiences to help see the team make a statement ahead of the new season.
The club will also be making some moves in the window just like every other team’s going to Europe.
It won’t be an easy task for Steven Gerrard who was said to have turned down another bid earlier.
He was hoping to stay in Europe which unfortunately it didn’t happen as no offers came for him despite how he wanted them to come.
Ettifaq decided on making the move happen after holding talks which later resulted in an agreement between reached.
Steven Gerrard return will now happen but only in the Saudi Arabia professional League which already have some teams making heavy move from Europe.
