FIFAWWC: Canada 2-1 Ireland, Irish Women Crash OUT! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Canada came from behind to beat Ireland 2-1 at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, MySportDab reports.

Katie McCabe scored a historical goal which saw her hitting the target from the corner kick in the first half.

Adriana Leon scored the winner of the match which came in the second half sending their opponent out of the competition.

The first half started strong from both Women teams who did everything good going forward trying to score.

Ireland came into the match after a narrow loss against Australia which saw them starting as bottom of the group.

Katie McCabe scored a screamer in the 4th minutes of the game which saw her making sure she hit the net from the corner kick to make it 0-1.

Canada were unable to give a reply immediately as the match carried on with them having to push forward trying to find a way into the encounter.

Ireland scored an own-goal which brought the game level 1-1 in the 45th minutes plus added time which came from Megan Connolly error.

The first half ended with the 1-1 scoreline which saw a lot more action coming in the second half between Canada Vs Ireland.

It was a busy second 45 minutes which the Irish Women had so much to fight against as their opponent pressed with everything they had.

Ireland was still in the match going well and pushing to restore their lead which didn’t happen as they had to face more pressure in the encounter.

Nothing else was happening despite the control Canada had in the second half as the encounter carried on until Adriana Leon scored in the 53rd to make it 2-1.

Ireland did everything possible in the game but it wasn’t meant to be as they crash out of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after losing 2-1 to Canada.
