Sweden dismantle Italy 5-0 to book their ticket into the next round of the FIFA Women’s World Cup with a game left, MySportDab reports.

The goals kept flooding in as the Italian Women had to reply from what was happening in the encounter all through.

Amanda Ilestedt scored a brace for her team as they ran riot over their opponent who couldn’t stand them in everything on the pitch.

The first half was good and calm from the early minutes until the goals started pouring in from the Swedish.

Italy were in the match doing well and making sure their defending was on point against their opponent who had all the ball possession.

It was looking good for Sweden Women who waited until the 39th minutes to score the opening goal which came from Amanda Ilestedt to make it 1-0.

The game opened up more as another goal rushed in from Fridolina Rolfo in the 44th minutes making things 2-0 as they carried on.

Stina Blackstenius made it 3-0 in the 45th minutes plus additional time which was yet from another wonderful finish in the encounter.

Sweden finished the first half leading with three goals already against their opponent who stood no chance of any sort after 45 minutes.

Italy Women were nowhere to be found in the game despite them starting so well but eventually falling down to three goals.

The second half showed a lot more coming from Sweden who did not stop scoring goals in the match with another one coming from Amanda Ilestedt to make it 4-0 in the 50th minutes.

They were some chances which came but it wasn’t converted by them until a late goal from Rebecka Blomqvist made things 5-0 in the additional time.

Sweden book their place in the round of 16 with one game at hand after making sure they thrashed Italy 5-0 at their second game in the group stages.
