FT: Arsenal 5-3 Barcelona, Leandro Trossard Bags BRACE! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Leandro Trossard bagged a brace as Arsenal defeated Barcelona in an eight-goal thriller in preseason friendly, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was an engaging first half encounter between both sides as the match kicked off with the two teams struggling to make an impressive early start.

Both teams got the game to a frantic pace as they make move to take an early lead with a good press and brilliant ball play.

Barcelona landed the first punch early in the game with Robert Lewandwoski giving the Catalans the lead in the 9th minutes.

Few minutes after Lewandwoski’s strike, Arsenal mounted a strong response and scored the equaliser in the 13th minute with Bukayo Saka on the scoresheet.

Arsenal had a chance to take the lead after the equaliser after Barcelona conceded a penalty but the Gunners squandered the chance as they missed the penalty.

In the 34th minute, Barcelona took the lead again with Raphinha’s goal to make it 2-1 but Arsenal found a way back to equalise again.

Kai Havertz scored his first Arsenal goal from the back post to bring the scoreline to a dramatic 2-2 draw before the break.

Second Half Report

Both sides continued with a top performance as the second half kicked off but Arsenal put up a more impressive performance.

The Gunners took their first lead in the game after Leandro Trossard scored from close range from inside the box early in the second half.

The former Brighton midfielder struck again late to make it 4-2 for Arsenal, drowning any hope for a comeback for Barcelona.

However, Barcelona were able to reduce the deficit with Ferran Torres’s late goal but Arsenal sealed the win with a 90th-minute strike from substitute Fabio Vieira.

The match ended with Arsenal grabbing a deserved 5-3 win after the final whistle.
