Borussia Dortmund defeated Manchester United in a five-goal thriller friendly, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was Manchester United’s third defeat in preseason after suffering defeats to Wrexham and Real Madrid.
A lacklustre late defensive gaffs in the first half by Manchester United left them at the mercies of the Bundesliga giants.
However, Manchester United had a good early start in the game and were dominant going forward before the late defensive blunders saw them concede two quick goals in a flash.
Dalot had put United ahead in the 24th minute to cap a dominant start for the Premier League side but Borussia Dortmund fought back late in the first half to turn the scores on the head.
Two quick goals in a space of one minute by Malen overturned Manchester United’s lead and gave Dortmund a shock 2-1 lead before the break.
Second Half Report
United continued in their dominance in the second half and were looking set to pull a comeback after losing their early first half lead and trailing 2-1.
In the 52nd minute, Antony gave Manchester United a lifeline firing in the equaliser to bring the scores to a 2-2 draw.
Both sides battled for a chance to go into the lead again after Antony’s equaliser as they proceed on speedy attacks and counters with several attempts on target.
While Manchester United dominated proceedings in terms of possession Borussia Dortmund maintained their threats when they were on the attack.
They recorded 15 attempts with 8 shots on target while Manchester United had 14 attempts with 7 on target.
After a tightly-contested second half, Borussia Dortmund took the lead again in the 71 minute with Moukoko on the scoresheet.
Moukoko’s strike happened to be the last punch in the game as United lost 3-2 after the final whistle.
