Manchester City came from behind to hammer Yokohama F.Marinos 3-5 in a pre-season friendly, MySportDab reports.

Erling Haaland resumed where he stopped scoring last season as he was able to get a brace in the encounter for his side.

Julian Alvarez was also on the scoresheet as the Premier League side were able to show why they are the Champions of Europe.

The game started well for the home side who had control and were able to make so much trouble against their opponent.

Manchester City were kept quiet in the first 20 minutes without being able to make anything happen despite their opportunities.

Anderson Lopez scored in the 27th minute to give Yokohama F.Marinos the lead 1-0 as they continued dominating play pushing forward.

Matsubara added another goal in the match which came in the 37th minutes leaving the Premier League side 2-0 down as they approached half time.

John Stones started the come back with an amazing goal scored in the 40th minutes as it enable them made things 2-1 as they carried on forward.

Another one from Julian Alvarez in the 43rd minutes of the clash was able to see Manchester City come from behind to make it 2-2 before the break.

They continued in the remaining 45 minutes of the match which saw the Premier League side taking the lead 2-3 in the 52nd minutes with a goal from Erling Haaland.

Pep Guardiola had already made a number of changes which resulted in the game coming back to his side as they increased their lead to 2-4 with a goal from Rodri in the 72nd minutes.

Inoue scored one goal back for Yokohama F.Marinos in the 86th minutes which was able to make the scoreline 3-4 between both teams entering the final stages.

Erling Haaland scored to round things off in the added time which made it a brace and scoreline 3-5 with Manchester City taking the victory.
