Manchester United reportedly back off from the race with fears of being dragged by Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, who is known as a hardline negotiator.

Now, Manchester United have received a fresh boost and incentive to go after Harry Kane again following the position of Tottenham owner, Joe Lewis, on Harry Kane’s transfer saga.

According to Manchester United Evening News, Joe Lewis, have issued an ultimatum to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to give Kane a deadline to decide his future at the club – either sign a new contract or be sold immediately.

The report adds Joe Lewis does not want Harry Kane to run down his contract with the club and leave on a free transfer after next season.

The move by Joe Lewis has been seen as a big chance for clubs to finally get meaningful talks on Harry Kane move from Daniel Levy.

Daniel Levy was insisting on keeping Harry Kane despite interests from other clubs while the striker is yet to sign a new deal.

He will now be compelled into talks to sell Harry Kane since the England striker is not ready to renew his contract.
