Al Etiffaq are lining up a move for Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood, MySportDab reports.

The revamped Saudi Pro League side, under the guidance of Liverpool legend and former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard, are reportedly interested in a move for Greenwood.

After poaching his former teammate and another Liverpool midfield maestro to the newly-promoted side, Steven Gerrard is said to be behind the move by Al Etiffaq to bring Mason Greenwood to Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, Al Etiffaq are lining up a lucrative £10m-per-year deal for Mason Greenwood and are ready to press the button and make the move happen.

Also, interests on Mason Greenwood is also reported from Roma in Serie A with Jose Mourinho ready to help the young lad revive his career.

A move to Roma could see Mason Greenwood reunite with Jose Mourinho whom he worked with while rising through the ranks at Manchester United.

MySportDab understand Manchester United have not unveiled a clear exit solution for Mason Greenwood although they have decided to part ways with Greenwood.

It is still unclear whether they will sell, loan, or terminate his contract.

If they want to sell or loan Mason Greenwood, they have few days to do that as the transfer window will close on 31 August 2023.

When the transfer window is closed they will have to agree a payoff with Greenwood before ripping off his contract.

However, with interests from Al Etiffaq and other Saudi clubs, Manchester United still has until September 20 when the Saudi Arabia transfer window closes to take a decision on an exit plan for the player.
