FIFAWWC: Japan 1-2 Sweden, Japanese Women Crash OUT! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Sweden advanced into the semifinal of the FIFA Women’s World Cup at the expense of Japan crashing out 1-2, MySportDab reports.

Amanda Ilestedt and Filippa Angeldal scored both goals for the Swedish Women who had their control of the game moving forward.

Honoka Hayashi wasn’t good enough as it became a consolation which the Japanese Women could take home after giving it all their best.

Match Report 

It was a good first half approach from both teams who had a lot going on as they made chances but only one could go inside the net.

Japan came into the match with a lot of energy hoping it could help them make something happen which didn’t come for them.

Alot was seen in Sweden who had their moments but wasn’t making anything else come to play as the match was very close and balanced.

Amanda Ilestedt scored in the 32nd minutes of the match which was able to make things go 0-1 with watch was an incredible goal for their side.

The goal was the only action which saw the first come to a close with the scoreline 0-1 between Japan vs Sweden who had their moments.

They came into the second half doing a lot more and hoping they could make something out of their opportunities on goal all through.

Filippa Angeldal was able to increase the scoreline to 0-2 in the 51st minutes which came from the penalty spot that was able to double the advantage.

Japan had the opportunity of scoring one goal back in the 76th minutes but she wasn’t able to make it count as her penalty hit the crossbar.

The scoreline stayed the same with 0-2 as they continued to push until Honoka Hayashi made it 1-2 in the 87th minutes after scoring from a loosed ball.

Sweden ended the match claiming a 1-2 victory which saw them making it through unto the semifinals which they will face Spain next.
