Spain thrashed Switzerland 1-5 in their FIFA Women’s World Cup round 16 clash, MySportDab reports.
Aitana Bonmati Conca scored a brace which made sure her side could ease through into the next round of the competition.
Jennifer Hermoso Fuentes alongside Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer and Laia Codina Panedas scored among the goals for the match.

Both teams made it out of their group stages with a lot of expectations coming into the round of 16 clash between themselves.
Spain took the lead in the 5th minutes with a goal scored by Aitana Bonmati Conca who was able to make the scoreline 0-1 moving on.
Switzerland had their moment pushing with everything they have to offer against their opponent until an own-goal from Laia Codina Panedas made it 1-1 in the 11th minutes.
There was more which came to play in the match as they continued to push with another goal scored by Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer in the 17th minutes to make it 1-2.
Another goal came in the 36th minutes of the match which was scored by Aitana Bonmati Conca to make things increase to 1-3 between them hitting the remaining half.
Laia Codina Panedas scored back after conceding an early own-goal which was able to see her side adding another one to make things 1-4 in the 45th minutes.
There was more which happened between them coming into the second half which was filled with so many talking points.
It was a close remaining 45 minutes which saw Switzerland doing all they could to keep the scoreline from increasing and try to get something.
Jennifer Hermoso Fuentes scored a wonderful goal in the 70th minutes of the game which saw things turning 1-5 as they carried on.
Spain ended the match with a 1-5 victory which saw them book their ticket into the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after an upstanding display against Switzerland.
