FT: Burnley 0-3 Manchester City, Haaland Resume With BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Manchester City opened the Premier League 2023-24 campaign with a 0-3 victory against Burnley, MySportDab reports.

The game was married with Erling Haaland making a statement once again by scoring a brace to show he is still the king of the League.

The Premier League Champions were their usual dominant self as they took apart their opponent to kickoff the season with a bang.

The Premier League season finally kicked off with the Champions making a light work of their opponent who had nothing to offer.

Burnley came into the match as a newly promoted side going up against Premier League Champions who showed them how things are done.

It took Manchester City just 4 minutes to score the opening goal which saw a good teamwork effort resulting to a wonder assist from Rodri to Erling Haaland who made it 0-1.

They kept calm and continued the encounter which saw more action coming through as the newly promoted side were able to tidy things up at the back.

Erling Haaland scored another goal in the 36th minutes working with Julian Alvarez which saw Manchester City heading into the break with a 0-2 lead against Burnley.

The second half was better in the early stages which saw the home side being able to hold things down making sure they didn’t slip off.

Burnley played hitting the one hour mark with the scoreline still far away from their reach despite how close they pushed with fewer ball possession.

Manchester City made it 0-3 in the 76th minutes shortly after Pep Guardiola was shown a yellow card as they continue the match adding another goal scored by Rodri.

The match carried on with Erling Haaland soon making his way out some other players including new signing Gvardiol making his debut for the match as Anass Zaroury received a late red.

Manchester City were to match for Burnley who they eased past with a 0-3 result after 90 minutes of the opening game of Premier League 2023-24 campaign.
